BICSI
BICSI is a professional association supporting the information transport systems (ITS) industry. ITS covers the spectrum of voice, data and video technologies. It encompasses the design, integration and installation of pathways, spaces, fiber and copper-based distribution systems, wireless-based systems and infrastructure that supports the transportation of information associated with signaling between and among communications and information gathering devices.
Premiere has 8 BICSI RCDDs on staff. An RCDD is a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer who has attained a status of excellence in the field. The RCDD designation is analogous in telecommunications to a PE (Professional Engineer) in engineering or a CPA in the accounting profession. It is an industry-recognized designation that is highly respected in the marketplace. To achieve RCDD certification, one must first qualify by having at least five years of telecommunications experience in data, voice, security, or CATV with supporting references.
