Premiere, Inc. donates labor and materials for a structured cabling system at Camp Durant for The Boy Scouts of America
In February 2008, Premiere, Inc. was asked to perform work at Camp Durant in Carthage, NC. Camp Durant is a Boy Scouts of America camp run by the Occoneechee Council. Premiere, Inc. was tasked with installing single-mode fiber connectors and building telecommunications rooms on campus to support the BSA network. Routing unshielded twisted pair copper cable was required to support the installation of a PBX system. The structured cabling installation was performed in the Administration Building, Dining Hall, Health Lodge, and Trading Post. Premiere, Inc. completed the cabling project in early summer of 2008 and in August 2008, BSA asked Premiere, Inc. to provide cabling for the new Grand Lodge on the Camp Durant site. The 16,000 sq. ft. facility is one of the largest buildings in Moore County. Premiere assisted in the planning and design; as well as routing, terminating, and testing the physical layer infrastructure.

about the Boy Scouts of America
The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.
For nearly a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and through nearly a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
