Network Appliance, a company with an estimated 1,000 workers in RTP and ranked No. 1 on a recent Fortune Magazine's ‘100 Best Companies To Work For', were in need of a structured cabling system for their state-of-the-art Engineering Lab.
Objective
Premiere responded to the full scope of the structured cabling system requirements posed by the customer to ensure full compliance with NetApp Corporate standards, offering a robust solution at competitive pricing; coupled with a reputation for reliability.
Solution
A dedicated project manager and support staff were assigned to install
- Outside Plant - Multiple 96-strand Single-mode and Multimode Indoor/Outdoor fiber cables
- Horizontal and Backbone - Panduit Category 6 TX6000TM Category 6 UTP with a 25-year Certification Plus System Warranty.
- Panduit QuickNetTMMTP Fiber Optic System with an estimated 7,000 strands of 50/125 μm Laser Optimized multimode OM3 fiber.
- Building Automation System - Panduit Category 6 UTP 4-pair copper cable
- Support Structure - installed 4,500' of Chatsworth 18" ladder rack and 4,300' of Panduit 6x6" FiberRunner® with accessories. Installed grounding and bonding system for 2,160 cabinets.
Result
Premiere continues to perform the build-out and cabling for this customer. Premiere relies on its vast experience in cabling Research and Development Labs and Data Centers in the Research Triangle Park.
